Also one thing i forgot about again. Snacks and beverages. (thanks Billy) Now, there is a bp and dunkin donuts across the street. Or we can get some people together who would be willing to bring stuff. And lets not forget the man who owns a deli or what ever it is a few doors down. Maybe if we buy stuff from him, hell leave us alone this time Seriusly though let me know what ya guys think.

Maybe I'll bring both.

I know it will be better then last years!! I have looked at some of your suggestions and have taken them into consideration for the next GTG. Im planning on having it in the spring. Mark has been kind of enough to let us use his shop. But i think its time to try a diffrent place. I have one place in mind right now. And I will be contacting him soon. Im sure you all know who/what it is . And I will try my best to make it happen!!! Also im wondering if I could recuit a few of you to help me plan this and other upcoming GTGs. Just a thought. |

I wouldn't mind going but my chops arent in condition yet after my 10 year hiatus and I really don't want to play. But to hang out and get to know some of you would be great. And the wife wants to go to chicago anyhow. |

Check out other peoples gear. Play some of the basses Mark has at the Bass Club. So if you feel your chops arnt up to par. THats no reason not to go. Who knows you may learn something.

What is the parking situation? We definetly need to have a solid idea of where we can park since that was one of the issues in setting this whole thing up.
When it comes to bringing gear I'm all for checking out all kinds of stuff, but remember Bass club is a small shop. Last year we pretty much packed it out and I'm counting on having more people this year, so we may need to keep the bass count down to what you really want to show off, or at least leave stuff in your car and bring in a few at a time. Once we get a roll call/gear call thread going we should have a better idea. I'll try to get one going in the next few days.
When it comes to amps, It got loud in there last year. We spend all our time on here bashing guitar players at GC for cranking up there amps then we go and do the same thing at the GTG. Let's keep it down this year.
Joe, if you need help with anything for this or future GTG's just lemme know!

Of course that depends on how many come. Last year we literaly packed the joint!!!!! And there was barley any room to breathe. Im of course hoping for a bigger turnout. But who knows. Ahh yes parking. That was a big deal last year. We had to fight with a the resturant owner about parking. He says we were taking business away from him. Which he had none anyways. Go figure. There is some parking in the back. Thats were I parked. There is a duncan donuts across the street. Maybe if you buy a donut they wont mind. I think some people parked on the street past the DD. Anyone remember? Like Ive said before. I know space and parking is limited. So Im working on changing some things for the next GTG. |

The nice thing about being a beginner is that you can learn things from almost everyone else! | Any player can learn from any other player regardless of relative abilities. I think that Victor Wooten mentioned in one of his videos that when he first started playing with Bela Fleck, he had Bela play his bass for a while...from which he gained inspiration.
I'm a rather simple player and I've been told by a friend that he finds it very difficult to play with that much space between notes....so even a guy with an impressive command of the instrument can learn something from me.
So...please play away at the GTG (and if I'm standing around please remind me of my own advice)....it's a rare opportunity to try out different instruments and other gear.

But I did want to let y'all know I'll be at this one, and I'll be bringing a my personal WT1205/610XLT rig, as well as a D212XLT and 210MBX. If all goes well, I'll also have the new WTX260. Might even have a few T-shirts and stuff.
Can't wait to see Jauqo III-X again...
