Chicago GTG Roll Call

OK here's the details:

*Bass Club Chicago*
*12213 S. Cicero Avenue, Alsip, Illinois 60803*
*12:00 - 4:00*
*October 14th*
*Jauqo III - X = clincian*

If you are planning on showing up please vote accordingly in the above poll. It's a public poll so it will be easy to keep track of who's gonna be there. Please post what gear you plan on bringing. If you plan on bringing several basses you may have to leave some in your car due to limited space. Amps shouldn't be necesary unless you've got something nice you want to show off/someone wants to see.

Woohoo I'm the first official attendee!

Anyways I'm for sure bringing my latest homebrew build (4 string fretless). I might throw in my homebrew EUB and Lakland DPLE JO, but I'd assume not mess with them unless someone specifically wants to check either one out.

BTW if anyone has a dingwall please bring it. I'm dieing to play one.

I've had a couple requests to bring my Cafe Walter for some noodling, so will do...almost embarrassed to bring a bass as 1) I'm still very much a beginner, and 2) what I've got is probably firewood in comparison to what most of the gunslingers here are packing, I'm sure...but since I suppose it's rude to NOT show up with something, will bring my "good" bass, my MIJ Fender Jazz Bass Special. My MIM Precision will stay home for the day.

Count me in, of course. Though, can I still get carrots? Hey Paint please bring the EUB. Very seldom do I get a chance to play anything relating to an upright.

That's prolly a good thing...I don't have a high-end set of cans to use with it. Though I will say that the clarity through what I DO have is quite, quite nice.

That headphone amp is a beginner's dream/nightmare.

I'll probably bring my two Karl Hoyt basses (a 4 and a 5)...both mongrel Hoyts really, but those who are interested will get a chance to put their hands around Karl's neck (so to speak).

I might bring my Bag End 2x12 too but would certainly leave it in the car until needed.

I have a Mesa Walkabout head and an Ampeg PB250 Portabass head that are small and can come along if anyone wanted to try them out.

As for other items of potential interest...I have a Behringer Bass OD clone and Behringer BDDI clone in case someone was interested in trying those out too.

I'll probably bring one bass, but two cabs. My rare ampeg 4x8 and my Harry Kolbe 112. I think people will like to experience these two interesting specimen.

I'll be making the trip with my son. Good excuse to visit Chicago and check out some high end equipment which we don't have up here.

So is there a prize for travelling the furthest.

4 hour drive for me. I think I'll be coming down Friday night. Any decent motels near by? Not to expensive either.

This is actually a grouping of 7 hotels. It's located about 7 miles (but it's a straight shot by car-- about 15 minutes) from where the GTG will be.

Thanks, IotaNet, I'll look into those suggestions. BTW, are you coming from Minneapolis? If so, you've got me beat by at least a 4 more hour drive.

I'm bringing a U.S. Masters EP55 custom if anyones interested. I could also bring a Tech Soundsystem CT-4000. It's a 4 - 12 cab with 2 angled speakers. Some feel this is where Jorge got his design from. I aslo have a Marshall DBS 7400 head and 7410 bottom I'd like to sell so I could lug that along if someone would like to hear it.

Looking forward to learning alot that day!

If someone sees something in my 'current setup' on my profile they'd like to try (doubtful) I'll bring it along. Since I live about an hour from this, I'll bring some water bottles (if I can remember)

I'm in as long as i don't have to work. Being 5 minutes from home works to my advantage.

If I do come, I'll bring the Ibanez if I feel like a 5er or the NS-2 if I feel like a 4. Who knows what may happen.

As a sidenote, would anyone have any plans afterward? *cough*Bar*cough*

I'll be there assuming if i can get off of work, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
