well keep me updated on the date. I would like to come.

**to anyone who will be in attendance**
would it be possible for someone to show me how to set up my bass, lower the action and set intonation? I need to get some new strings on it and I figured this may be the right time to learn all this

I don't think that would be a problem.
It would be cool to see everyone's opinion on setup.

Shouldn't be a problem. I can bring my strobe tuner and some tools. You may even be able to get an AD Instrument setup!

Thanks a lot! We enjoy what we do. Also my band is playing at the Mad Hatter on Sunday the 24th. The Mad Hatter is on Scott st. in Covington so its about a 10min. drive from Downtown Cincy. If anyone is intersted we could all meet up there and hang out. Its a Ska/ Regge show with 3 or 4 other bands. Just let me know. Have a great day!

Everyone knows it's not always about how good you are as much as how good you look doing it

If you can't be good, play loud and fast. It's always worked for me.

I always scored low in the "talent" category too...and a ganglion cyst on my wrist keeps me from playing fast but I do play LOUD so maybe that's what is keeping me from giving up?

Since when did playing bass have anything to do with playing bass? I thought it was about buying stuff?

I will volunteer my house in North College Hill on Feb. 2 for anyone that is able to come. I am amazed at the amount of people that have responded from such a wide area. I believe that we will be able to generate more than one gtg for all bassist around Cincy.

And I have nearly every tool to work on the instruments that I have owned. I can show you how to do a set-up, but you will decide on your action.

I can accomodate a good size group. Let me know if you guys want to hang at my place.

Mike

It's looking like 20+ people from TB and a few others from local bands that I've spoke to...so guaranteed anywhere from 20-40 people - all wanting to bring their gear so there's something to think about.

...there will be room a plenty if I open up the basement and wire in a couple drops...

I will get my basement in shape and that should be a wide open space for us to play.

I vote for a veto on the Feb 2nd date, Its my 6 month anniversary with my gf and I'll be in Toledo with her for the weekend. The week after would be great though, or any other week pretty much. post-poning it would give us more time to plan anyways heh

If I came I would only bring my pedalboard (I'm an effects junkie) and my 5er. hmmm or maybe I could bring my 6 string and try to sell it to one of you

I think we should postpone it till the end of February or beginning of March - just give more people a chance to plan for making the trip.

Any takers for March 1?

the only dates I veto are feb 2, 16 march 15th
feb 2 is moving day and march 15 is brothers wedding day and I'm the best man, I don't think he'd take it too well that I missed his wedding for a bass orgy
