I am sorry that I am going to miss this - but have band practice that was rescheduled to tonight at my request last week :-'
Would have liked to meet some of the other CO TB members. Will look for the next event - have yet to get into the store to meet you guys!
Have fun. |

It was a great success, and we had over 30 in attendance. It's always a gamble to host an event like this and have poor turnout. I'm extremely happy the CO bass community turned out and helped support Bryan for this event.
And yeah, Beller is just amazing.

It was also awesome to finally see the shop, too... I was really impressed! Cool setup, awesome gear, great vibe! Nice to finally have a shop like that in the area again.

Checking it out tomorrow. I feel bad for Ed. Don't know why he is closing, but James that works there is my tech and he is awesome. I can't count the number of times he has done little things at no charge for me. And, he also refused tips (monetary).

They had several amps and cabs but only 4 basses left. About the same amount of guits. Shook Ed's hand, he said thanks for the business over the years. I am so depressed about this. Ed is a hell of a guy and I hope this was his choice... even though it probably wasn't.
RIP Music Exchange.

Do any of you have problems with "fret Sprout" aka "Neck Shrinkage" on your wooden basses you bring to our lovely state from other places? I have a humidifier running at my place almost all the time, but I still have a problem with basses coming from other states that seem to grow fans along the neck after being here for a few weeks or so. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Some basses will just do this and others won't, and when they do you have to file the frets a bit. |

I told Tim (owner of callowhill) about it and he told me to ship it back to him and he fixed it for free, plus paid for shipping both ways. Now that's customer service!
