Colorado GTG Redux!

Hey guys girls from Colorado,

I dunno about all of you, but I am ready for round two of a Colorado GTG. I'm thinking maybe if we plan it during a slow gigging time a few more people can come and share in the festivities and bass sharing. I'm up for either Denver or Colorado Springs, unless someone has a better place where we can show off stuff, jam, shoot the bull, and have a great time.

So start making suggestions and dates available, we're open for anything!

Joe

I may be be able to host. I live in Castle Pines (perfect - halfway), and have a very nice clubhouse across the street that we could use, as long as we behave.

The thing about going to that party is that it would take two hours no traffic to get there. Thanks for the invite though.

I'd dig one in Denver this time too. Anyone know a good venue? I'll start digging around and see what I can find... Greer's spot sounds like it might work too.

Let's do it. The halfway mark sounds like a good deal.

So let's start talking dates as well. Which works better? Weekends, or weekdays? Afternoon's, evenings? I'm thinking if we could get this going for the end of say July or early August it would be pretty spiffy.

I want in! I vote the end of July too, around the weekend of the 31st/August 1st. I might be able to find a good spot if nothing else is working out.

I can bring a drum kit too if we want it (and play it!), this could be a lot of fun...

Denver would be good for me, as I'm in Fort Collins.

I DO have tix for the ZZ Top/Aerosmith concert on Aug 1, so that day I'm out.

I'll be out of state the whole last week of July (and both weekends), so I'd vote for maybe the 2nd weekend in August, the 8-9th. I realize it's whatever works for the majority of people though!

I'm headed to school August 20th, so anything before that is good by me.

Yeah, someone cough it up or Joe's going to sick that little puppy on ya!

I'm headed through the front range on the 22nd or so and back again around the 1st, that's why I would love something near those dates. I'd like to meet some fellow TB'ers and talk gear and play some funky jams. If we pick a date I can look into some places in Denver, I have lived many years there and have a few connections.

Picking a date is kinda dependent on the venue, so could you go ahead and call around?

I'm putting my feelers out to possibly help this GTG happen, but I should know a little more about it so I can get us the right place. I don't know any of you personally but it sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

How many people would show up for an event at the end of the month?

Obviously we need space to make loud sounds and hang out, is there any other necessities that come to mind? Are y'all a rowdy bunch that wants to get crazy? Are we talking a potluck, barbecue o rjust drinking some beers and hanging? I guess i'm just trying to get with the program, i'd like a chance to hang out and talk bass so i'd be happy to put energy into making this happen.

Lemme' know, plz.

Having hosted some GTGs myself I can tell you that you will enjoy yourself more by keeping it simple. Not so simple that there's no beer available though.(wink, wink)

Count me in at the end of this month.
