Dallas Guitar Show 4/17 - 4/19

Anyone going to the Dallas Guitar Show this year? If so I would love to meet some of you guys. out band "The Maylee Thomas Band" is playing Saturday at 1:20pm on the SBAL stage. I think Skunk Baxter goes on right after us.

Last year I met Stu after our set, and have met a couple of other TBr's there...but please let us know (in this thread) if you will be there...

unless something happens I should be there on Sunday....

Are they going to have a few more basses on hand than last year?

I'm deciding if I want to go on Friday or Saturday, since I only have a one day pass.

If you are going down on Sunday, make sure you catch Andy Timmons at 4pm on the Peavey stage...I think Rick Derringer plays just before Timmons, and Johnny Hiland plays right after...that should be fun!...

Hey The Low End is going to have a booth at the show..!

Apparently my Guitard is going on Saturday so i guess so am i......lol there is also a Guitar Center across the way from the hall as well so might as well make a day of it.

Yup. I'll be there Saturday for sure. My drummer and I are going to go check out our old band that night, then maybe back for Sunday, too.

Doh! - My bad i thought this was at the Convention Center in Arlington....

this is off Stemmons Freeway yes?....if so the closest Guitar center would be roughly 5 miles down the road

Hey Gerry, my old group is Bleed Down. They are supposed to be at O'Riley's that night about 11:00-ish.

BTW, I caught you guys last year, and enjoyed the show.

This one, IMO, usually has the best bass section in the Metro. I'll probably pop in there sometime over the weekend, as well.

Yeah I know where the GC is off Central...I was just confused when Snakeman said there was one close to the Guitar Show (which is at Market Hall off Stemmons)...No GC right around there...

Bleed Down...I've heard of them...cool

I have a buddy who plays Bass for a couple of bands that play O'Riley's a lot...He play's with Judas Rising and another band I can't think of right now...He also subs from time to time with Back in Black...

Neat. I've seen Judas Rising rising a couple of times. Some of those guys are in Habitual, right? The guy that I'm writing with now was also the drummer for Bleed Down. He used to be with Element X, too.

...so yeah. Small world, huh?

Yep, my buddy Mark that plays Bass for Judas Rising was with Habitual...He lives about a block from me, and we have daughters the same age.
