H | i'm still waiting on my lakland dj5 to be done getting upgraded at lakland, lol.
i'm also not sure if i'm going to order just the tc amp and footswitch or if i'll get another speaker cab, too. if i do order another cab, it'll be the rs212 since the rs210 will be here tomorrow. and i have no amp, lol; except the nice little practice amp that jrug is letting me borrow.

I'm so lame, I haven't gotten anything new in recently, especially any better at playing the basses that I have.... If you didn't make to Denver for the Ray Reindeu?/Doug Johns Clinic or 2009 Bass Slam.... You guys missed out some really cool information and playing, and I won't even mention the kids that are coming up.... Some Teenagers are just killin it at 14-16 years old!!! 5string knows what I'm talking about!!!
P.S. I finally won a raffle!!! Yay

I've been wanting a Dingwall for a while now and was waiting for the Combustions to come out. Last weekend they pushed the release date from June to September and I didn't want to wait that long to get a five string (while researching fivers, I ran across Dingwall and have been enamored since) so I started trolling Craigslist for a cheap five since I've seen several go for a couple hundred lately. Well, a couple days into my search I found what I was looking for. I don't have pics, but it was last sold here on Talkbass so see for yourself... FS/FT Feeler dingwall ab1
A guy here in Denver bought it in March and then hit some financial issues. I picked it up for a couple hundred less than he paid for it. Man, what an instrument. I've never felt comfortable playing any five string before but this thing just works for me!
Best of luck on everyone's GAS,
Tommy |

If anyone around here wants to check it out, just let me know. It's a little bit different from anything I've ever played before, and I'm always eager to share an experience like that!

how was that GT10B? I'm thinking about getting one of those instead of the RC50 and a Multi-pedal.

| | no really, smokemeth&hailsatan | | Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Pueblo, CO | | | Whew! That was nerve racking. I think I did pretty good. Totally sucked on the sight singing test (I've got a bit of a cold too, so that didn't help), but I think I did pretty good on my piece. Signed up for classes while I was down there too. School starts on August 20, and I should know in about two weeks what orchestras I made it into.
Time for a name change. |
