Just purchased my ticket.

Guys... Ralphe Armstrong!!!! He's one of the classic 'greats' of the fusion era.

It should be a good hang, and I look forward to meeting some of my fellow TBers from the surrounding area. It will be worth the drive IMO.

Ralph is definitely one of the pioneers of modern electric bass and an incredible talent with out measure.

And yes Ken I'm sure it will be a great hang.

I look forward to seeing you (and hearing you!) there also. It looks like a great line-up, and I hear that the venue is very cool.

FYI.... Billy Cobham's Spectrum band is playing at the Detroit Music Hall on Sept 9 and 10... Dean Brown on Guitar, Victor Bailey on bass. That should be cool. I believe they are playing in a small 'club' in the building, not the main theatre.

That will be fun to see.

This is what frosts my butt. Absolutely fantastic music, in an intimate setting, absolutely ignorned by the people of that great motown city. Where in gods name are the rappers and such sending the ears of tomorrow, when Billy can't even get a gig. I can't stand it anymore. We musicians, need an outlet somewhere, where there still are some people, awake enough to come out and hear the good stuff. With the economy going in the can, this can only get worse unless we can somehow put our heads together, and rescue these kids from the crap thats shoved down their throats, by the very same guys who supposed to be their role models. Lets see some REAL role models, for them to emulate from.
