I found a group on meet.com that meets up to jam twice a month for the most part at Orileys pub. There appear to be a few bassists, a drummer, couple of guitar players, a couple of vocalists, etc. Haven't met with them yet, but hoping to make their next jam session on the 24th of this month. I'm a beginner bassist (only been playing for a month) but want to get out to meet, play and learn from other musicians. |

Hey TC, there is a new music venue around the corner from The Cadillac. I can line up a Thursday night at either venue. The Caddy or the new venue, The Grotto. The Gotto is smaller but has a killer PA and lighting. The stage is small though. (right FishTX?) How about a date like mid October? I'd have an easier time reserving tables at The Grotto. The Caddy is so busy now, they won't reserve tables anymore. Let's set the date, I'm make new NTGTG TB bumper stickers. Let me know!

alan | i don't have a problem with October i don't think... ill pm everyone later and see if there are any objections to the venue and ... if anyone wants to chime in on the date.
tuesday's and thursday's are out for me... i have weekly commitments those nights.

alan | Yes, The Grotto has a very tiny stage (I mean really small)...It holds 4 people MAX (with minimal gear)...They do have a PA, but the monitors are terrible, and the sub is above and behind the stage (weird setup). I hear it sounds OK out front. I'd be up for another Bass hang though. |
