Anyone coming? I thought it might be fun to meet some fellow TBers since I'm quite sure there will be a lot of us. I'm coming on saturday morning and I'll probably be hanging around the Wood&Tronics booth a lot since my bass will be there.
I also hope that this year the event is not going to turn into Italian Bass Day again; don't get me wrong, I love Italy (especially Italian females) but it sucks when you drive 500 km to a show and than don't understand a thing since everyone speaks italian (especially on stage; I hope there will be no translation from english to italian this year since the time one could spend for saying something interesting gets split).
Anyway, I'm sure it's going to be great and I hope I meet some fellow forumers.

I will be there, and one of the reasons are to try those W&T basses . I'm looking for a 6-string "Fodera Mike Pope wanna-be" and W&T seems to make them really close to it (extended B, removable fingerboard and stuff like that). And moreover they are in my same country... . I'm curious to play them

Hi there! I guess the bass you reffered to is mine...I hope you had a chance to try it out...how did you like it?
Also, Fodera basses were not something I had in mind when ordering the bass; it has Nordstrand pick-ups and I never use the preamp since the bass sounds so great in passive (I guess a lot of Mike's sound also comes from the preamp he tweaks to his likings). It also doesn't have the extanded B peghead and is a very different instrument.
On the other hand, it's true that I got the removable fingerboard idea from Mike and I think it's a very practical solution for players that prefer to slap on instruments with less frets and play fingerstyle on the basses that have 24 or more frets.

Anyway, I had a great time in Verona; I didn't try out any of the instruments since the place was to noisy to actually try out a bass without having to turn the amplifier on 11, but I liked some of the performances and I though the clinics were cool too.

Yes I tried yours (the 6-string with removable fingerboard, right?) and it was a pleasure to play, altough like you said it was so a noisy place that i can't really tell what i heard of your bass... After this Bass Day, i can't hear slapping no more. Too much loud and noisy slapping at the stands!
I tried many instruments including one of the incredible "two-basses-in-one" really crazy, i think you know which basses i'm talking about:

I've had a good time with Manne basses, i'm really considering a 6 string fretless Acoustibass
I really had a great time with clinics and concerts both saturday and sunday. Over the concerts, two of the most beautiful things were Marcus Miller with Dario Deidda jam at the Epifani / Fodera stand and Hadried Feraud with Pippo Matino at Markbass.
