Springs Theatre is a cool place, a former movie theater converted to a very good recording studio. I've done a couple of projects in there. It's occasionally used as a concert space, too. John Stephan, the owner/producer/engineer there, is a good guy.
Not sure how well it will work to charge musicians to jam, and listeners to pay to hear a jam, as a fusion/jazz jam is always a tough sell in the first place (particularly at a venue that isn't already a bar/restaurant, regularly drawing people).
But I'll try to get out there soon.
Thanks for the info - I hadn't heard about this.
As far as the Green Iguana, shouldn't be a conflict, as their jams are on Monday night, and they're pretty much strictly blues jams, not jazz - no Monk or Miles or Mingus (or jazz fusion) allowed.
I used to live right next to the Green Iguana - always a fun hangout.
