Greater PDX GTG -- June 15th

OK, we're on for GTG #4 for the greater Portland area. Once again, I'm hosting the event here, in Hood River OR. It'll be 21-and-over only, 1-5 PM, and hopefully with a hosted jam session with a house band sometime after 5 PM. Food and a full bar will be available on your nickel. It's a 300 seat venue with full PA, and we will have complete run of the house at no expense to any of you.

By all means spread the word, and PM me directly with any inquiries on lodging, restaurants, or anything else.

I should have no problem making it.

If someone is interested in trying any of my basses, let me know what you're interested in.

Looking forward to it!

Rivercity GTG

I'll be there. I'll bring the Epifani ul-112 for anyone who wants to try it out. I'm on the hunt for cabs, 410's, 810's threeways, homebuilt projects, what ever. So I'd be into hearing various set ups/ amps on different cabs.

I'll bring my basses too.

Who is the house band? Can drummers come too?

Is this a swap, horse trading session as well?

Looking forward to it!

Mark,

I'll be talking to drummers at the First Friday shows tonight. I'll probably invite most or all of Django's Cadillac to come if they aren't gigging that day. I'll also run it by the other guys in your band, or you can. Buying and selling is always a possibility at these GTGs, for sure...

I won't be able to make this one, but thanks for the invite....Next one, I'll make sure there are some Barker Basses for folks to drive around the block.

Kindly,

Lee Barker

I was planning on bringing my Bergantino AE410 which some people are curious about. I'll also bring my Genz Shuttle 6.0 since it's so danged small.

Personally, I'm eager to hear Passinwind's homebuilt cabs and stuff.

I have a fair number of basses, which are listed in my profile if anyone wants to try them. I can bring the Dark Star P if fish slapper wants to torment himself again.

Not yet, though to be honest I haven't played it in a while.

When I did bring it out to a gig a few weeks ago though, it killed.

All for the best. I've got major Rob Allen gas right now. Still, it'll be great to tickle that fine axe.

Sweet. I'm in! Here's what I got:

Ken Lawrence 5
1966 Guild Starfire
Kinal 6-string ABG
Kinal 4-string fretless ABG
DeArmond 4-string

Read Purity Pre
Acoustic Image Coda 2R Combo
Acoustic Image Contra EX Extension

I've got a different car this time around, so I'll have to see how well I can cram it full . Can't imagine the weather being nearly as bad this time...looking forward to it! Although the thought of Jerry's Fodera(s) being there frightens me

If I can pull it together I'll bring...

Ritter Roya
Clover Aperion H5
Guild X702
Status Custom Shop Eclipse
Modulus M92 5 w/lane poor
and my beloved Benavente Vintage Vortex 5, better known as the BVVV.

Mesa Walkabout Scout
Thunderfunk 750 A and 550 A

I see no need to bring the Berg HT 322 or a pair of Aggie GS112, however I think the DR Bass 2460 would be a unique cab for most.

Browse my profile for any other goodies.

Hopefully I'll have a couple of new DIY cabs that none of you have heard yet. I just need a day or two of decent weather to finish the latest 1-15 up.

Meanwhile, I just posted a new live clip that includes me playing through my DIY preamp and the 3-way cab that I've revised quite a bit since the GTG in Portland.

It's the first cut, recorded last month at a benefit gig I played out here.

If anyone has a V4, Bassman 100, YBA 200 - something smaller than an SVT - I'd love to hear that through a couple of Bag End 1x15's that are to arrive this week ... If anyone is looking to divorce themselves of one of the above suspects or someting in the same league, you should PM me now ...

I'd love to check out the new Ritter and the Clover especially, if you can make it

I've got a YBA 200 I can bring. And yes, it could be for sale.

Cool! I've always wanted to check one of those out. Wonder how it would sound through my AE410?

Hmmm...I'm not really sure what to bring.

Most of you know what I have. The only new things I've got have been a markbass f1 and I put a 4band audere in my flea bass. I would like to compare my ht322 to Bart AE410, but he lives close enough to me anyways. Tell me if there is anything you want me to bring: Berg. nv610 & ht322, read/ca9/ashly571 rack, and the ritter, the drozd, and the flea. I'll bring my pedalboard just cause; I did put some new stuff on there
