Enjoy the infant and toddler years! It's never too early to plant the seeds.

I went ahead and spoke with the owner of Vintage Pub and he's supportive. I told him I still wanted to get at least a dozen (preferably 20) commitments before nailing down the date and time (although he said April 1st was okay by him).
I guess it depends upon how many show up. As I stated earlier, I am pretty busy with gigs and am usually tired come Sunday afternoon so I have no trouble turning loose any bass players who show up and say they want to "Jam." For the most part, they just plug into my rig and go. 20 bass players would probably not get that much "Play" time though as it is typically one bass player per set.

Just discovered this site and our jam has only been going on since last Thanksgiving weekend.

With only sixteen days left until the proposed date - and with only seven members committed to attending, I think we need to postpone this until another weekend where more folks can join.

What do y'all think?

I'm down for sure.

All I'll be bringing this year is an ATK and an EBMM sterling fretless

I wont be able to attend April 1st. My band has a gig at the Scout Bar that night. We also have a gig 3-30 at the White Swan and 3-31 at Hard Rock Cafe. It will be a busy weekend to say the least!

I would definitely be down for this as long as my worship leader doesn't schedule me for that weekend. College Station is where I'm coming from. Also if it was on a Sat I could bring two more bassists, a guitarist(who can play anything) two drummers and a keyboardist. We would all bring our own stuff but if it's a sun probably only me and maybe one of those guys would make it. I dwindled my bass collection down to a Stiletto 5 and a WTDI.

Put me down as a "maybe". I'll be in Houston that weekend for the Supercross, but I'll be staying in Friendswood, which is the other end of the world from Jones Rd. Might be able to stop by on my way back to Austin.

Unhappy

I am postponing this event. Only eight confirmed members and ten days to go. It just isn't fair to the Club to ask him to open his stage with this small an attendance.

I'll send PMs to everyone who responded and let them know.

Maybe come summertime this can get re-planned, but I probably won't be trying to organize it. Sorry.
