Houston GTG II: Electric Boogaloo!

Seeing as last year's was quite a hit (that I had to miss D: ....) I was wondering if anyone would be willing to do another one this year. I know it's kinda short notice, but if you're interested let it be known!

I'm in, but also not fit for planning. Larry and I worked to organize last years, so someone else do it this time

I would but I'm 750 miles away and stressing over finals right now. I'll be back in Houston next Wednesday night. Also, not enough interest = no venue.

I'm finally old enough to have a beer with Larry. Hooray! I'm gonna get him so drunk he gives me the purple jazz.

While I would have liked to do more with this GTG, being in Missouri and extremely stressed over finals means I can't really do much.

Strange, all the people who missed last year and said they'd be up for this year have not posted in this thread.

Then again, nobody who was there last year has posted except Mick and I.

I'm gonna make a few calls, alot of the last years guys have not been on TB much recently.

I've been away from the boards - and local scene - for a few months and would really like to attend another GTG. I got the tail-end of last January's and that was fun. Got to meet up with RHFusillo, which was cool. Gave me some good tips which this new bass player really needed.

I'm not sayin' I'll organize it, but look for possible venues and report back.

Let's keep this on the radar, folks. I haven't found a definite location, but am sure we can find a venue to host on a Sunday afternoon when business is slow or non-existent. I thought Dan Electro's was perfect, actually.

Count me in as well. Shoot, I have to check this section more often. I did not realize another Houston GTG might be happening. Bumping/subscribing to keep this on the radar.

Does everyone remember Larry's purple fretless from last time?!!!!

I can bring my rig (see image...minus the Behringer cab)
GenzBenz 600 + Korg DTR1000
Yamaha BBT210
Yamaha BBT410

I love it and am looking forward to hearing how it sounds with a real bassist playing through it!

I imagine a central location is best. I guess we need a headcount. I vote a midtown location.

I have a place in mind if it was going to be a small crowd, afternoon on Sunday thing. I could organize with friend/owner.
