International GTG in NYC - poll for possible dates now closed

Okay – I haven’t been online to Major yet, but I’m hoping this will give us some ideas for dates. Note that multiple choices are allowed, it's a public poll and it's open for the next 60 days (or until Kevin has a firm idea which dates are going to work).

I’ve assumed the GTG will be a weekend event during "the summer" (21st June – 21st September) as that was what Major originally announced. I know he’s currently looking at different possibilities for venues, so this poll is only about dates. Feel free to comment on other aspects, though, of course.

It might be a good idea if we keep posts about the GTG in just this one thread for now, so unless Major or anybody else objects, I’m going to ask that the previous two threads about this be closed, okay? If you've already expressed an interest in one of those threads, then please vote here, and sound off again if you wish!

EDIT Okay, seems like Major is now pretty clear on dates, so the poll will close. Watch this forum for more details as and when things get fixed up.

Right, Ive been in touch with \MM/ and we've agreed to close the "brainstorming" thread and to keep this one open for talking about dates and the "sign-up" thread open for keeping track of who might be able to come and other discussions. Once this poll is closed and the dates are fixed we'll close this thread and then there'll just be the sign-up thread open for everything to do with the GTG.

Those are great for me, and even the last weekend of July is cool ...... it'd be great to settle on some dates so I can block out the time and not commit to any gigs ......

Most of them work for me. NYC is an hour away, so unless I have a gig or a wedding, I can make it up.

I'm interested to come to New York for another time... It will depend on summer jobs, if I pass this year, if someone comes along... probably can't bring anything.

wow, no idea...but i'd love to go. i vote no for aug 9/10 (anniversary weekend) and aug 16th is bad too (wedding)...how about late july?

Bill, we need to change the name of this thread to something thats more INTERNATIONAL. I myself wasn't aware what the subject matter was. just a thought.
