Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "Every Artist was first an amateur." January 26, 2007 at the Inland Empire Music Awards in the Key Club @ Morongo; the amateurs were weeded out and the best talent of the year was recognized. As each award was given throughout the night the intensity increased and the crowd just got more and more pumped. Standing on the second floor overlooking the Club there was a fog of excitement and suspense. Every person in the crowd cheered for their favorite nominated artists and had the opportunity to be exposed to a live performance from every winner in every division. Whether it was folk, rock, or metal; there was something for everyone!
The party did not stop there, after the event there were several after parties and a live performance from Metal Skool! The best after party of the night was held by Jet Speed records, the label rented out a large suit overlooking the Key Club and two suites upstairs in the hotel. Giving away squishy toilets and an opportunity to watch the awards and Metal Skool from a VIP suit overlooking the club, this party could not have been beat! In honor of the Inland Empire Music Awards, Jet Speed Records (a sponsor of the awards for three years running), and Sir Thomas Crapper the inventor of the toilet; Jet Speed Records opened the doors to an incredible way to party and titled it, The Crappiest Party Ever! All that was needed to enter this event was a squishy toilet and the want for a good time!
Jet Speed Records was responsible for the kick off of the event with a live performance from one of their bands Toe Head and closing the event with The Crappiest Party Ever! So listen up because Jet Speed Records is reday to party and represent at future local award shows, be aware this label is going to change the way you listen to music! |
