John Patitucci Clinic in SF (free)

Pat Klobas and The Northern CA Bass Club is presenting a free clinic with John Patitucci on Saturday, December 1 at the San Francisco Musicians Union Local 6, 116 9th St. @ Mission in SF. The clinic is from 12-2 p.m.

There will be a raffle, prizes include a GK Back Line 12 bass amplifier donated by GK, bass strings, bow case donated by A & G music and a $75 gift certificate donated by Bronstein Music.

I surprised that there are no responses. This clinic is really "free". You do have an option to purchase raffle tickets prior to the clinic. The Northern California Bass Club uses the funds to pay the clinicians or use it for their next event.

If any TB'ers show up please introduce yourself, I'll be an attendee as well.

I'd love to be there! I've just got Chick Corea's "Elektric Band" in the post this week so I'm looking forward to hearing John playing!

Wow, you haven't heard that recording before now? Although it was released in 1986, and sounds like it, it is pretty much the CD that put Patitucci on the map. Actually, Chick selecting him put him on the map, but this was the first CD they did as that group. John's solo in "Got A Match", although I think it is actually two or even three solos punched together, is still on my list of the top 3 or 4 coolest bass blows ever, and I think that solo alone helped make a name for John. Enjoy!

It it weren't for the 6 hour drive I would attend... I seriously wish this happened earlier this month when I was there.
