I think the Michigan guys might be a little GTG'd out. We get together quite a lot.

I would suggest planning on coming to one of Low Down Sounds monthly Saturday hangs. It's a blast, and many Michigan bassists attend.

Hope to see you at LDS sometime. If you ever want to just come over and hang, make sure to PM Mikebass, Vision, myself, Shelly, G, Burk, etc., etc. and at least some of us will meet you there on a days notice if we are in town.

Well maybe somebody should put the interested parties here in on the monthly GTG info list or something.

I still think, there should be a Michigan GTG. Summer seems like a great time.. sweat it out bringing your gear in somewhere. FUN!

If I still lived there I would be down with it. I will be back the last week of July first week of August recording a record if anyone wants to get together. Will be in the Lansing area for the week.

Who has a house big enough to entertain 10-20 guests and their gear? If we do it on an off night, I can furnish a singing drummer who knows alot of songs and would love to come.

ZonPlyr/Rich, you play with Mike Daniels? I thought that was Joe Cardines? Hmm, you look vaguely familiar but I can't place you.

When you cruise into town, you should give me a call. There's a not to shabby blues jam at the Unicorn in Old Town w/ Frog and the Beeftones. Thursdays, if you have some time after your sessions.

BTW- what studio are you recording in?

Joe and i are tight, when I lived in town I subbed for Joe a lot. I know frog quite well. I will look you up when i get into town. We are recording with Glenn Brown.

Gee I'm not sure we ought to intrude on the "Michigan guys" territory.

I really thought I was a "Michigan Guy" but clearly an earlier poster indicated we ought to just trundle up to Motown to join the "Michigan guys" at their local music store get together.

I'd offer my home but would need to check with the wife. It is not Low Down Sound but then it isn't a couple hours away from the Lansing area either.

My guess is that if we wanted a place we could find one. I'm still in but we might want to consider what we are gonna call it as the "Michigan guys" have that name all sown up. Perhaps we could be the "guys from the middle of that one state that looks like a glove".

Ken isn't apposed to traveling to Lansing as we have hung there before. I would rather do a in home hang on an off night as opposed to a music store hang during the day. Something more like the famous Bowlus GTGs. Just my 2 cents, if my house were big enough, I would hold it here in F-town.

You missed quite the jam last night. Ed Fedewa came out to Frog's jam, and he played my self-built jazz and ran a solo for a few minutes, MAN what an experience.

We had Ryan Fedewa on drums and Ed Fedewa on bass. And now that I look at your list of gigs, I do remember you back when i was MUCH younger playing a few places around town.

Glenn Brown? Is his studio in East Lansing on Grand River west of MSU?

I have a 2 car garage.

thats about it. I know in the past there have been some GTG's at a church and such. I'm not 100% sure, by my church usually is solid booked with events and weddings. Sometimes the halls are available to rent. I mean, if we have 30x40 space, we would be okay.

well i'm in monore.....but my car gets like 38mpg...so anywhere within about 100mi and i'm in.

i have my own rehersal space that we could use, its really nice, and theres a gas station, a bar, and a mexican restaurant within 20 ft of it. Its in Muskegon though, i havent seen anyone anwhere close. Anybody checkin out the umphreys mcghee show in muskeogn on the 4th of july?
