Montreal ''Gear'' GTG

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been thinking of trying a Montreal area GTG for the purpose of meeting and trying Gear not easely accessible around here.

Bring yourself, plus whatever gear that is not easely available around here.

I would ask the store on St-Laurent for his EA combo and cab.

Maybe le Garage's Phil Jones combos.

I can bring a Bergantino cab (HS410), a Schroeder cab (1210r), with pre-power setups.

So if anyone is interested, and-or has something to contribute, write it on this tread.

I can also ask the folks at Italmelodie for some Genz Benz and Markbass, as well as Ranger for some Aguilar.

I have two Bergantino 12's, LMII, and a couple of Dingwalls. I think everything else I have is pretty much standard.

Nice stuff to add. Now that I've tried Bergantino, I love it. Hope more people join in.

Wow I guess I'd be useless all I have is a Ibanez BTB (good bass but very accessible), Peavey milestone & a crappy 15watt practice amp.

I do though have a Russian Big Muff & a Morley Power wah that I'm getting shipped to me, thats the only gear I have that might be hard to find in Montreal.

I'd love to come, I have an Elrick GS5, a fretless CIJ fender, an ashdown head, and an Ampeg cab.

That would be cool. I thought this idea had died, but I'll ressurect it a bit. Maybe more people will join in.

Hey Guys!!! I don't have much to contribute but I'd still like to assist. I've got a Carvin LB70P, a pre-Gibson Trace Elliot GP12X, Carvin power amp for those who are interested in checking it out and an ampeg stack which is pretty accessible so.... anyways, like I said... i'd still like to assist if it's no prob with you guys!

Of course no prob. Everyone who wants to show up are welcome. The morer, the better. As soon as I get enough responses and an Idea as to how small and cozy, or big and NAMM worthy this GTG will be, I'll select a date and venue.

Btw, Alain Caron is playing with Jean St-Jacques at the Dièse Onze on thursday for 8$, and Stu Hamm is giving a free clinic friday at the Jello Bar at 8 o'clock.

It's a good week for us Montreal bassists.

I'm 16, please tell me I can get in. Even if it has to be with an adult.

Well, yeah, I guess you need to be 18+ since it's a bar. However, you can try calling them and ask if you could come just for the clinic...

Who is putting on the clinic? I can't find any mention of it on Stu's site or the Jello Bar site.

Twistad contacted me by PM. Seems it's Hartke by the way of Italmelodie setting up the clinic. I'll be going to Ital today to get info.
