| | Pardon my driving, I'm reloading | | Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: San Diego/LA | | | I've gone a few times, not really all that hard to get in. Was invited by product folks once, went with a pro drummer friend another time, went with a buddy who buys all the pro-tools equip for some colleges and music schools. Kind of a network thing....if you know some folks it's not that hard.
3 times was enough for me. I guess I'm weird but I've never seen one thing there that I wanted other than some cool guitar pedals. |

The way he described it sounded pretty awesome. I'll definitely be checking it out.

| | | | just in the fyi for parking, the Hilton is usually full. coming from the Convention ctr on Harbor take a right on Katella (the next light toward Disney) there's a parking garage on the left about 2 blocks down. and for those not knowing about NAMM, the short of it is it's a convention for music companies trying to sell their products to music stores. As such companies and stores have access to passes. It's not open to the public. Most artists when they sign an endorsement agreement there's usually something in there about being available for the trade show. Consequently, you'll see well known musicians especially if they have a signature model. Some of us not so famous folk who have endorsements get a pass from our companies and usually allowed some guests. I'll be there thurs. maybe we can use this thread to post some pics? |

My pops got me in back when he was a rep for AKG. I want to go now because the inventory selection of basses in LA is so lousy these days that you need to go to something like this to try out anything that isn't a Fender, Music Man or Ibanez.
They really should open it to the public for at least one day. |
