Gard and I were talking in PM's about how great it would be for all of us NFL fans to get together and watch a few games. We agreed that a GTG would be an awesome idea. So how about it?
This is mostly a feeler to see what kind of interest there would be. Let me throw out a few of my ideas...
#1) Should be somewhere with warm and pleasant weather.
#2) Family friendly. My wife and son both like to watch football.
#3) Early in the season so none of our teams are out if it....yet.
I suppose this could morph into some kind of bass GTG as well. For me, I no longer own bass gear or play the bass, so I am only going for the football.
As I said, just some general ideas. Feel free to add your own. Let's start talking about it now. Maybe we can make it happen in 2007.

#4) Someone needs to bring a TV, SNES, and a copy of TECMO Super Bowl. It's about time to put to rest all the TECMO pretenders like Jivey.

Maybe we could go somewhere that has a sports bar/restaurant with all of the games on.
I'm not suggesting youn'z come to Seattle, but we have a place downtown that shows every NFL game on big screen plasmas in HD on Sunday. You can sit in a few different places and see all of the screens. I'm sure every big city has a joint like this one.
Vegas would probably be a perfect spot for this, but I don't think I want to take my family there or hang out in a sports book all day.

But...I'd still be down for a Pro Bowl trip.

Love my wife & kids, but I see it as a good chance to hang with just a bunch of like-minded football lovin' bass geeks. Plus, doing it in the fall means no one is likely to be "out of it" yet.
As for the "team loyalty" issue, everyone in the NFL threads seems very capable of talkin' trash but being civil at the same time. I doubt there'd be any real ugliness!
Now, if we GOTTA do the family thing, I'm down with the Pro Bowl thing, the wife would dig going to Hawaii!
