So here's the sticky where we can all discuss it together.
I'm a big fan of Saturdays & Sundays.
So far no luck on dates!? |

4Mal and I have thrown a lot of dates out for discussion with some of you, with no real joy so far. Hopefully going public will help things along. |

My schedule is seriously OPEN, so lets get this done.
C'mon you can play my Ritter!
And I heard someone who might be comming just got a new Sadowsky.

My absolute preference would be for a Sat hang, as I can then get a hotel on Sat night and drive home on Sun
I'm also hoping this could take place in the second half of Sept or anytime in Oct
all the best,

Weekends are best for me; other than that I'm pretty flexible. I might not be able to make it on the weekend of Oct 7-8, as there is an autism conference I might be attending in Seattle.
I'll bring my Sadowsky and Bergantino IP 310, as well as any of my other basses folks are interested in.

| | I Know Nothing... | | Join Date: Dec 2003 Location: Columbia River Gorge, WA. | | | October Dates? I can get the use of a 300 seat club in Hood River OR on nearly any weekend during the day. If we do this on a Sunday, we can do an open/mike jam thing in the evening as well. The club will cater food, or we can bring in pizza or whatever if we want to.
This venue is 1 hour from Portland, right off I-84. 4 hours from downtown Seattle. Some guys from the Tri Cities and Bend have expressed an interest in coming, and the drive's reasonable for them as well. I'd like to shoot for 1-5 on a Sunday for show-and-tell, then have maybe a clinic and dinner, followed by a jam. 4Mal and I can bring in a drummer or two, a guitarist or three, and maybe some horns if you guys are up for that. I can mix sound, and the house PA's not too bad.
The biggest downside to this idea is that it would have to be 21 and over unless I can pull a lot of strings. So first, lets have a show of hands or some other suggestions for location, OK? And for starters, how does Oct 15th or 22nd work for everyone? |

Whats it like... 1-2 hours from Portland?
Horns and other instruments would be great as well.
Seems like it would be better than my 2 bedroom apt.

If anyone wants to come out on Saturday and stay over, I can set up rafting, mtn. biking, or wine and beer tasting jaunts.
Here's the club's website: http://www.rivercitysaloon.com . The official event hours will be 1-5PM on October 22nd.

Rodent, come on down on Saturday and hang out. I'll put together some sort of entertainment then as well. There's a hostel over here on the WA side that could hold a lot of TB'ers for pretty cheap, BTW.
From Seattle, or especially the east side (Redmond, Kirkland, etc), it can be just as fast to drive out I-90 and come through Yakima. It's a lot mellower drive than I-5 a lot of the time, and the eastern Gorge is pretty killer in its own right. |

I live on the west side, so it's a little further, but I'm not afraid of a nice drive. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to get away, but I'l do my best to be good to my wife in the meantime.
If anyone has a good preamp or two they could bring, I'd really love it. I'm stuck with my Sansamp for now as a preamp for my Bergie IP310, and I'd like to try something else. Looks like there will be something of a wait for the Berg line driver comes out.

I also have a couple of different parametric EQs that make nice standalone preamps as well, especially if you have an active bass.

Now there's just the matter of how to choose which one of those amazing preamps to hook up to the Bergie first . . .
Lookin' forward to it!

I'll probably also have between five an 12 basses to bring along, as well as a Super RedHead and T.C.Electronics M-ONE ... all depends on what's currently in the shop and in the stable. a few might even be 'uncommissioned' ifyaknowwhatImean
all the best,
