To prove Mike Dimin right, that we are too lazy... ditto.

Oh man, today was a TON of fun! Met a bunch of cool new folks, got to put faces to names that I've talked to for years. I should've started doing the GTGs years ago! Thanks again Andy for hosting us crazy musicians!

Here are some pics I got of the music room- I didn't get any of the living room or Mike Dimin's lesson. I have full-sized copies for whoever wants one- just give me your email and I'll send it to you:

By the look on Nino's face, I'd say Michael just gave him the goose.

Not content to play with just 1 ebay, mr. manring pulls out 2 of them!
His explanation of his 5 types of pluck was every helpful, not that I could ever possibly do it at the level he does. It did help reveal some of the "mystery" of how what it looks like should be coming from the bass is not what we're hearing.

There were some mighty nice basses and some mighty nice people there. Can't wait for the next one! Thanks to Andy and his wife for hosting the event and the very tasty food!

Kath and I would just like to thank everyone for being the kind, respectful people you'd expect at these event. A special thanks to Michael Manring and Mike Dimin for doing what they do. I'd also like to thank my wife for everything. She really is a saint.

I'll be posting some pics shortly.

Now that was a nine on the fun meter

Gracious thanks to Andy and Cathy for hosting this great bottom feeder convention, Nino and Luke for bringing a sampling of their impressive basses; and to all you New England and beyond bass players in attendance, it was a treat hanging, hearing and learning from all you talented folks. Cheers…. Oh, and Manring and Dimin were no slouches either.
Thanks all,
Randy

Thank you to Andy & Kathy for hosting this!

I really had a lot of fun, and learned a lot too. I got to meet some real nice folks, play some real nice basses and amps, hear some great bass playing, and eat my fill of real good food.

Thanks again,
Dale
