San Diego GTG - IT'S ON! September 18th

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I was just over at the new Bass San Diego, and Chris said he'd be interested in having a GTG in their upstairs venue. It would be a perfect spot for us ... it's in the Sorrento Mesa area and could easily accommodate at least 20 of us with tons of gear. Any interest?

I'm always a fan of seeing a well crafted pink bass.

What the hell??

I work within walking distance of this place... and the last time I was there, it was just Hammond Ashley not 2 months ago, checking out uprights...

Well, I know what I'll be doing at lunch tomorrow!

My Uncle lives there.
Might be a good enough excuse to fly out and visit!

Harry - Hammond Ashley is still there and going strong. We just moved in next door. Come by any time, it's always good to meet local guys (especially if you can just walk here!).

Strolled in on a random day off work and got to meet George (saxmachine777). Looks like they've got pleanty of stuff to drool over in the fancy axes department, and a buncha space to work with. Hopefully the shop'll bloom into a great asset for the local San Diego bass crowd.

Hey guys, it turns out Michael Manring and Joe Zon are going to be at Bass San Diego on Saturday, November 21 at 1:00. While this wouldn't be the best occasion to bring gear and stuff, it would be great just to get together for the clinic. We could do a separate GTG with gear and stuff at a later date. The details haven't been ironed out yet (admission, etc.) but check San Diego Bass's web site in a couple weeks. What do you think?

So you did, for the clinic. I was referring to the "later date" for the actual bassist get together.

Sounds interesting, I would like to attend as well to both events. Name the date and time of the SD bassists get together so all can put it on their schedule.

OK, Chris at Bass San Diego has suggested either October 24th (coming right up) or October 31 (Halloween) for a GTG. He hinted that he might be able to get Rick Turner to come ... maybe. So how many of you guys could make it?

Me again. Chris suggested maybe moving it into early November to avoid Halloween. I'm gigging on the 24th. He also asked if we might be interested in a weeknight evening (not Monday or Wednesday). Your thoughts?

SUCKS!!!

I am on deployment and would definitely make it if I wasn't. No new gear on this side but keeping my chops up. Hope you all enjoy the gear that makes it there, incredible stuff and the guys are awesome as well!!
