Well, he did invite my 2 bassets to the last one, not much of a difference between them and drummers. Although, the bassets do know not to pee on the carpet. Hmmmm.

As if there's not enough chaos there already without inviting our pets ...

It'd actually be really cool, but I'd think if the GTG was at a restaurant-type venue there'd be some health law issues to deal with ....

Depends on the animal or at least its behavior. For example, I would never bring my beagles, Trouser and Rex, to a GTG. They are sweet dogs but experience the world thru their noses so they'd sniff everything and everybody before they found a place to lay down. Then the snoring would begin. I think you just have to use common sense. If the pet would be at all disruptive or diminish the human guests' experience in any way then leave them at home. Same goes for kids. In my case, my teenage son would outplay me on anything he picked up so he would have to stay in the car... windows cracked, of course.

You'll have to include that on your liability insurance policy, or have to pay the scratch repairs out of pocket = no.

as much as I love my pets, no one should bring theirs without offering their credit card upon entry. I've just seen too many 'ohhh, he's never done this before' instances.

And also, some people are very responsible pet owners and have very nice animals, but not all of us are like that. What is worse is that the people who don't have very nice pets, are sometimes completely clueless on how out of control their pets can be.

The one we held in St. Louis was pretty loud with all the amps going. It was sometimes uncomfortable to my inferior human ears. It would seem down right cruel to superior ones.

I love dogs and cats but in this case I would have to vote No, I don't think it would be wise or practical.

I agree. In fact, I think it would even be cruel to the animals.

I would think it would increase the risk of basses on stands getting knocked over, with a bunch of dogs running around.

If they're monster bass players, sure.

I think AJ did send out some invitations to the last GTG, but the none human animals did not reply. Only the human animals. They may have had trouble with the intarwebz.

I've also seen one too many "he's never done that before" incidents. I'd vote no.
