P Club, Gallien Club, Ampeg Club...
For what?
For me it make no sense. Those clubs threads are only to share photos? Itīs like a masturbation thread or "look how big itīs my finger" competition?

Well, you're in the "P-Club", so you should be telling us what the point is. Why did you 'sign up' and put it in your sig? Seems a little ironic, doesn't it?

Yea, next thing you know they'll have an entire message board dedicated to bass. How lame would that be?

The tendency to join with others in groups is perhaps the
most important single characteristic of humans, and these
groups leave an indelible imprint on their members and on
society.

Intimate attachments to other human beings are the hub
around which a person's life revolves, not only when he is an
infant or a toddler or a schoolchild but throughout
his adolescence and his years of maturity as well, and on into
old age. From these intimate attachments a person draws his
strength and enjoyment of life and, through what he
contributes, he gives strength and enjoyment to others."
John Bowlby (1980)

Not that Talkbass clubs are actually intimate or important, but
humans are groupers. We form groups based on something we
share. Often enough we then differentiate our group from other
groups of people who do not share that something, and head
down the road to a flame war, or a real one, depending on the
groups involved.

So watch out for those J-Bass clubbers.

Actually, a number of clubs do a lot more than share photos. They share information on possible modifications, dealers, new models, good deals, rigs or basses they pair with the item that the club centers around, etc. And some folks (gasp) actually meet up in person to try each other's gear and/or have their own sites, like the Lakland Owners Group. Sorry to burst your bubble, grumpy dude.
