Thumbs up

I got there late, couldn't stay long (between soundcheck and a gig) and missed some folks but it was fun seeing the folks there again and some for the first time. I played Sean's new Sadowsky on Saturday and it's excellent. Also got my hands on John's Stambaugh 8; great bass, great attention to detail, and there was this one guy who brought a sweet Fodera that "might" be available

Thanks, Jong, hope we can do it again soon and I don't have to leave

I had a great time, and wish I could've stayed longer... Brad, I'm sorry I missed ya, but I'm sure we'll run into each other again at Atomic soon enough. Thanks for hosting (and drumming), Jong!

That might have been mine... and I didn't think to use it until a few minutes before I had to leave, so I only got a few pix. But I'll post what I have this evening.

BTW, your Sadowsky is more stunning in person than in pix... the top is 11 out of 10! That said, I fully appreciate your old Shaggy avatar now that I've finally met you.

The one pic that I wish I had was of the awesome Shrimp and Oyster Po' Boy that you missed out on.

As much as I'd like pics, I'd love a recording of the jam with Malcolm, Preach, and I. The Roland Handsonic rocks!

Ok, that means we have to do it again next weekend. I'll bring the video camera.

Those guys (Malcolm and Preach) need to start participating here. Holy cow can those guys play.

I took a video with my ancient Kodak digicam, but the sound sucks (as I expected).

I've seen 'em at Atomic before (maybe you have, too)... Malcolm and Preach and Brad are class-A players.

Then again, all y'all were better than I.

I had a great time! Good to meet some folks and hear some hot snappin' and poppin'! Next time I'll have to bring my $50 Mosrite, just for some contrast! Oh, and some money, right, Jivemeister? Or should I call ya the King of Western Swing?

Will you have Jive Sound t-shirts next time????

Sorry, bud! I came from a nearby point in Alexandria, not straight from Frederick. Maybe next time!
