At this last one I booked at Cherry St there were a good number of people with a lot of nice gear and it was hard to move around the room.

Also a fretted P-bass neck on my passive Jazz.
My newly re-carved and refinished home-made 5-string will be on display as well. Took almost a pound off it, making it feel both sleeker and more resonant in the process... |

Since we last got together, I picked up an Ibanez SR505.

New harness and active blend came in from EMG, got my fiver back together and it came in at 9lb 15oz. Still not a featherweight, but that's down over a pound from before. Best of all, it sounds more resonant and complex than before. No loss of sustain, and the B string is just as tight as ever.
New-to-me Jazz V arrived as well. Still getting it sorted, but it looks good so far. The Duncan's and Audere preamp are definitely something new to me in a Jazz bass- huge, pillowy low end with a spike on top. Sounds like JPJ meets Marcus Miller... |

As for me I won't know until kids hockey schedule for playoffs is firmed up.

I say devil take the hindmost and go for the bigger room....

CB rooms were small and carrying the gear in is a bit of a pain but parking is easy and driving in is a breeze.
Kind of a wash but dependent on overall cost and number of people confirmed I would still lean towards CB.
Just my 2 cents.

I met up with some new guys at some other jam spot and the place had zero parking, had to park across the street and make 2 trips, then I find out the room is 3 floors up!! Only thing that made it tolerable was I had minimal gear (not keyboards and such), or I'd have turned around and gone home.

Since Cherry Beach has begun the much needed rebuild the rooms are claustrophobic to say the least which in turn tends to cause periodic volume issues.....
I'm proposing the Geary ave Location, essentially Dufferin and Dupont. With a noon/1:00 start time we'll get the best parking anyway, that and those coming in via TTC will have a far easier time of it. With nice couches it has the space to relax and think. To be honest I'd rather not be all crammed in cheek by jowl again.
Here's a link if it fails to take you there look under locations tab Toronto then Geary then look to the bottom left corner for Studio #1 http://rehearsalfactory.com/locations/toronto/geary/

| | All bass, no talent! Me endorsed? | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada | | | Folks,
As March seems bad for many due to vacations, hockey, etc., do we want to confirm a date in April? I think early afternoon on a Sunday would be preferred, but lets discuss.
I will definitely bring Monique, Berg AE210 cabs, my Emperor Standard and MTD 535.
