I don't if its I have GTG fever or what. But what do you guys think about have a USA GTG? Whith some good planning skills I belive it can be accomplished. I know sometimes Im out of the bass convention loop. But it seems all the great bass events happen everywere but chi town. So I was thinking about having it here. In Chicago. Its alot more centralized then going all the way to the east or west coast. Its the just a thought I have. What do you guys think?

Well its just an idea I have. Dallas is a good place too. BUt I was thinking chicago. Its slightly more centralized. This would be a bigger event. And would take time to prepare. So im just throwing it out. See if theres any response. Of course any tbers from around the world would be invited.

Something like this, done on a national scale, would be expensive and time consuming. National events are typically planned by professional convention planners, who can spend years and hundreds of thousands of dollars putting something like this together. Then, consider your audience. Will the average bass player in California or Washington be willing to pay hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, to attend this get-together? Probably not.

Well, of course you want it in Chicage--that way it won't cost you anything.

Why don't you focus on having a Chicago area GTG first? I'm sure there are plenty of bassists in the area.

Honestly, if I were going to fly to another city for a Get Together, I'd just go something like the Bass Player LIVE shindig in NYC.
