West Michigan Bass GTG !?!?!?
 

I've been talking to CL400Peavey about the idea of having a West Michigan Bass get together.

I'm thinking we should aim for some time AFTER the holidays, just to keep calendars from getting too crazy and to allow time for planning, but then we run the risk of some epic snow...your thoughts?

I think the most democratic way to pick a location is that we'll pick a central spot based on confirmed attendees?

Personally, I'd be bringing my Dingwall bass, Bill Fitzmaurice cab, Peavey Classic 400, Ampeg V4B, Carvin B1500 (and maybe a couple other toys) for your perusal and high-decibel merriment.

My initial thought was to discuss via PM and so I sent one...but that seems contradictory for a public gathering!

So, where (and when) can we have this shindig? Seems like we have 6 or 7 definites and 1 or 2 maybes.

What are your ideas?

Also, since I'm in Holland, and GR seems like the most sensible place to hold this GTG, if someone from GR wants to steer the effort on the ground, I'm not going to pout or ball-hog this thing.

Well we have a large practice spot at the ice sculpture building but I imagine its about 20 degrees in there.

I will be there! Depending on what John (groovaholic) is bringing, I may leave one or two of my amps home but I should be bringing the rest. In addition to my fEARful 1515/66/1 I also have a pair of Alpha 12/6/1's coming from Gigmaster Soundworks. I will actually drop Dave a line as he may be interested in attending as well.

On that note, he and I will both be at a swap meet Feb, 23-24 with a slew of gear.

As far as a venue for a GTG goes, I will do some checking and see what I can turn up. My two main concerns are heat, and being able to turn up to an appreciable level.

I may be able to make it depending on the date. I'm in Holland. Nothing too interesting to bring really. Ampeg PF 500, Ampeg Classic 410he, Fender CIJ Mustang, Squier VM Jaguar, VM Jazz, and P Bass, Ibby SR505. I'd pick one or two. GR is fine with me.
