Lightbulb Western NC; East TN; Upstate SC players here!!!

I covered all three sub-regions since our part of the country is relatively sparse with bass players.
Check in and give a shout out, so we can add each other to our friends lists if we'd like.

You might be surprised at how many folks off the deep end are in the area. It's been my experience that they tend to be on the quiet side.

In any event - I'm in Gastonia.

Nice to meet you Oren......I just rolled through Gastonia, on my way back from Sam Ash a few weeks ago.
I added you to my friends list.

Ah yes, Sam Ash - one of my site visitations. Let me know next time you're in the area. I'm just off I-85. We can always rattle a few windows.

Boone here, college town with a noise ordinance, no real music scene. It's a shame.

Yeah, thats weird. Our last gig in Boone had us getting told to turn down over and over. The folks working at the bar were super frustrated with it too. **** sucks!

Welcome

A big welcome to all of you.

......and sorry to hear about the noise ordinance in Boone......I bet they didn't muffle the uber loud cheers there when App. State beat Michigan a few years back.

Anybody have any gear they wanna trade for something of equal value? Just list it all in this thread.......We all live close enough that the drives to do the swaps won't be that bad.

Technically, the GTG section is not for listing of gear for sale or trade. It becomes very difficult to moderate such posts.

Ah yes, I see your point......Sorry about that; it didn't occur to me.
It won't happen again.

I am in Anderson, SC. I am relatively new to T Bass, but have used it as a resource for the past four years that I have been playing bass.

I'm relatively new to bass at the ripe age of 44. Only about two years now, mostly self-taught. Been looking for a band or other musicians to play with/learn from. I'm in Greenville, SC but originally from Gastonia, NC.

I'm no longer in the area, but I lived in Hendersonville in the 1990s and worked in Laurel Park for a few years. (I didn't play bass during those years, I suspect finding gigs would have been tough, though.) snailplow, have you lived there long enough that you remember the Poplar Lodge?

Beautiful country up that way, Asheville's still one of my favorite places to visit. It's been two and a half years, I'm due for a return.

I'm in Eastern NC but I spend a lot of time at our place in Banner Elk. And one of my best friends lives in Nashville so I'm always driving through. Some of the prettiest country anywhere.
