I'll check into lining up some business meetings in Chicago that week so I'll have an excuse to fly out there. (And so that the company picks up the airfare!) 
Will the new Thunderfunk Vertical 610 be there?

Whoa, I am up kinda early especially considering how late this event lasted.
Just couldn't sleep.
Three cats stood out for me.
Trentin Le...One word sums up this young man, Fresh! New techniques, clean playing, This cat aint trying to be anybodies clone.I see great things for this young man in the future.
Doug Johns...Dayum! A bass is supposed to do all of that? I'm taking mine back because it is missing some stuff. His looper gets a workout, but I have never seen one used more effectively
And last but not least...Buddah!!! If the windows of Heaven had opened up and poured out Heavenly thunder we could not have been more entertained. His bass roared. Mere words can't begin to describe that experience. I have seen Bill before and figured seen him once, what more can he do? I'm scared to see him play a third time.
Mad props to Jaquo for putting this event together...bass players coming together to network and be entertained. Thanks to the sponsors , The Elbo Room and the great giveways. Awsome raffle. Thanks Jaquo, when is number 3? |
