Monsters of Bass

Darn, I wanted to be the first to post my review.

+10,000 to everything above. This was one of the best musical experiences I've had in a long, long time. Every bass player was incredible. But the highlight had to be Bill, Doug and Jauqo jamming at the end. Best $7 I've ever spent.

But Jauqo, please, next time can you arrange this on a Friday or Saturday so I don't have to go to work on 2 hours of sleep? (just kidding, I'll be there anyway)

I'm up early(for me) so I'd like to thank Jauqo for inviting me to perform. I had a great time playing and meeting all the other bassist in the house ,let's do it again soon.

Jauqo, again Thank you! It was great. I'd go into detail, but it just seems like it would lessen the overall experience, it was all great.....

Jauqo you have done it again!!!!!! BRAVO

I attended Monsters 1 and the Namm Bass jam, and once again you have managed to put together an amazingly diverse and talented group of bassist. Last nights performance showed me how little I know and how limitless the range of bass can be. I brought a fellow bass player and 2 non-players and we all agreed that the show was awesome from start to finish. You are truly an ambassador of bass and I commend you. It is efforts like this and people like you that keep this community vivid and full of vitality.

To all of the performers, You Guys Are Soooooo Funky!!

Oh, and the giveaways were SWEEEEET!

Well done to all the performers!!

Jauqo, good to finally officially meet you.

Let me preface by saying that solo electric bass, or electric guitar for that matter, has never been my thing. However, last night was a truely awesome experience. To see so much, and such variety of, tallent over such a short time is a rare thing!

Every bassist in Chicago, even -perhaps especially- those who have little interest in "solo" playing, owes it to themselves to attend one of these shows, if only to see some of the radical things that are possible with the instrument.

Can't wait til the next one!

Thanks for putting this together, Jauqo, it was an awesome event. I'm not sure which I enjoyed more, watching your band play or you hosting the raffle.

I agree with Eilif, all the performers I saw were great. Plus, everybody seemed to bring something different to the table, from Doug Johns' chording and soloing to Will Howard's groove-based trio. I'm looking forward to the next one.
