I'm going to be back in NJ between the 19th-31st December with the missus - off to see the in-laws for Xmas! Anyway, does anyone feel like arranging a meetup in either NY or NJ around this time? Maybe between Xmas and New Year, then we can all show off our bass-related prezzies! |

My house is so small that I can't even fit into it But even if we don't have a "typical" GTG with tons of gear, maybe we can all just meet up at a place for a bite or a drink.
Actually, I have a gig scheduled for Friday December 29, 2006 at Rooney's Ocean Crab House in Long Branch from 7:00-11:00. The food is excellent and it's very easy to get to, located right on the shoreline with a beautiful view of the Atlantic (of course it'll be dark and you won't be able to see anything, but the idea is cool ...). Plus, if any of you guys come I can get a break and let you sit in .... there are always guitar players and drummers sitting in with us, but never any bass players (I think the 7 string thing may have something to do with that ).
But whatever shakes out, sure, let's try to get something put together, I'll help out however I can .... |

PB - Rooneys is actually a nice place. Here's a link if anyone cares to take a look: http://www.rooneysocean.com/home.htm#
can we do a version of Spinal Taps "Big Bottom" then?

But it never gets to "Spinal Tap" levels
We're also going to be at The Cove in Sea Bright on the 16th, basically right down the street from Rooney's. The Cove is a sort of wierd joint, sometimes it's very crowded and other times it's almost empty. Could be some Spinal Tap possibilities at The Cove ..... Of course, my POS hartke head would likely blow itself apart .... |

Man, I've played at the Cove many times, and there were some nights there when it was completely deserted. I mean nobody there. I know what your talking about. |

I'm an ex chef so I could help with the grub.

Again, I'm willing to host on LI if we have enough people on-board.
Thanks

I'd probably be easier somewhere between Christmas and New Year's Eve, as the O/P suggested .... |
