0760M James Jamerson La Bella's on a MIJ P Style Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
So times is tough I sold my Squier CV P to the bassist in the rock band I currently play drums in. This bass had 0760M's on it and now I have my Indiana Guitar Company P style bass with a nice maple/maple satin finish neck jumbo 21 frets with the GHS 115 boomer set on it. (see pic)

And I'm wondering if the 0760M will sound good on a maple neck.

Does any one have 0760M on a inexpensive maple/maple neck bass?

Idea's?

Thanks

The neck doesn't matter much IMO. The guy playing ON that neck matters. If you sounded good with those strings before, you'll sound good with them on this bass.

The Jamersons are too heavy gauge for me, but Labellas in general are excellent strings with a fantastic sound, especially after they have settled in for a couple of months.

They are awesome on this bass too!

Just need a minor set up to even out the pickups across the strings plus intonation is a little off on the A & E strings.

Truss rod fine since coming from 50-115 boomers (any one want these?)

These are my favorite flats no doubt!

I put the 0760M La Bellas on my Japanese P bass with a maple neck, and they sound incredible:

I love these strings

The D .073 string is way more responsive then the D on my squier CV P that I sold a week ago.

This is what I do best:

Enjoy!

What styles of music are you guys playing with these strings? I might order a set someday, but I play praise and worship (pop-rock sound) almost exclusively, on my Squier P. I've enjoyed Chromes on it; probably my favorite string.

Thanks!
