| I used Dean Markleys for years - and then strung up a set of EB's for a try out. The EB's seemed to require a lot more tension to get up to tune, so much so that I would have had to tweak the truss rod to sort the action out. I did one gig with them and chucked them out, I didn't like the extra tension, or the tone.
Just put a set of D'adarrio Prisms on which seemed similar (in feel + tension) to the Dean Markelys so your probably right. |
