1960s Garage Band String ???

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm in a 1960s garage band and looking to change strings - using round wounds now but considering halfs or even flats for a more 60s sound. I tend to roll off the tone on my Fender Jazz so it's not so bright but thought the strings might make a difference. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Here's a couple clips of us in action.

ya flats for that old school sound, but i would rather just roll off treb using rounds that way if needed could dial up bit of bite if needed

I recommend Fender 9050 Flatwounds. Warm sound, a feel as smooth as glass and they cost less than $20 a set. For that price, you should at least try them once.

needs more cowbell! as said before if you wanted a really round sound i would recomend flats, then again from your clips you already have a very round and classic sound.
