3 Different Chromes

Kinda random, but I just got my 3rd set of Chromes today. Now I have:

1 new set, straight from the box
1 set that is about 3 months old
1 set that is about 1.5 years old

Maybe I can do some tests to see if flatwounds really do sound better over time.. I mean, I know they do, but its always fun!

I'd encourage that! I'd be curious to hear the difference, especially if you can do them on the same bass.

Of course, I'd also suggest letting *US* have the fun of identifying which is which ourselves before you reveal that. I always get a kick out of the know-it-alls who guarantee a correct guess because they're tone GODS, they end up being completely wrong, and then the real entertainment is hearing them offer excuses and point out all the things that got in the way of them correctly identifying the samples. It's *never* their own over-inflated ego!

I would like to do that, but man.. That would take a heck of a lot of time to do! I can try though, over the weekend Ill have some spare time.

One is going on my '82 Squier though, so Ill have to do it before its fretless neck gets here.

Agreed, I certainly can't argue about the amount of work it would take to do that. I wasn't trying to pressure into going through all that.
