| 32" Scale/E-C 5 string: Choices for Flats/1/2's and Why?

Starting the process of having one made..looking for opinions on flats and/or non pingy 1/2 wounds.
I like Labella SS and Roto's for flats, don't like the tension/feel of Thoms. Like D'Addarios fo 1/2's in a workhorse/gigging string.
How about Ken Smith slicks, Elite's, or anything else that's new(er)? Also..anyone using a non-wound C string?
