35-115?

Anyone know of extra light 5 string gauges, like a 35-115 set??

Looking for something a little lighter than the 40-120 Dunlop nickels I use.

I play in C standard tuning. Thanks

I have two sets that you might like;

.118 .088 .064 .046 .033

or

.124 .092 .068 .049 .035

If the Dunlop set you have is the .040 .060 .080 .100 .120 set, either of the above two will serve you better than the Dunlops as tension goes IMO - though I do have a dog in the fight.

I'll wager it isn't your C string you object to, is it?

Looking at the gauges, 40 60 80 100 120 will have the 40 and 100 at roughly equal tension, the 60 and 80 tighter, and the 120 much looser. The 120 is particularly under-tensioned, for equal tension the correct pairing would be 100 135. Circle K balanced sets are designed to have equal tension on each string, so the result is reduced tension on your top 4 strings, but unchanged or slightly higher tension on the C, to maintain it's good tone
