35" scale

Sign in to disble this ad
if the bass is 35" scale then long scale string should be installed or super long scale string to install?

It's best to use strings that are super-long scale or extra-long scale.


There are a couple of risks when you try regular long-scale strings:
1) The tapered part of the string will fall over the nut (very bad)
2) The silk part of the string will fall over the nut


You might be able to get away with using strings that have no silk, but there's no guarantee that you won't be subject to (1) above.
