38" scale

The only one I know making 38" scale basses is Carl thompson.
I believe he plays a 38. He sells strings for his basses. Jeff Berlin used to use his strings.

I had a problem finding strings when I had a 36" scale Alembic (with the tailpiece, required 38" scale strings). DR Strings sells an extra long 40" scale of Hi Beams. I prefer Lo Riders, but these were nice. And if you prefer flats, TI Jazz Flats have an extra long scale that fits too.
