39"bass strings

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been looking for strings for some time now and can only find Rotosound XL scale srings to fit my 5 string Cort bass. The problem being it is strung through the body. The string length needs to be 39" from ball to silk. Even with strings this long the string only clears the nut by a few milimeters. Although the Rotosounds are fine, they only do them in one gauge which is limiting. I have been told that DR make strings long enough but they cost £40 about $75 a set in the UK, which is three times that of the Rotosounds. Can anyone help me?

You might want to try GHS Long Scale Plus strings.
( Available LSP Strings: Super Steel Roundwound, Sub Zero Bass Boomers, Bass Boomers, Brite Flats, Precision Flatwound ) and they also cost less
