What kind of strings are best suitable for a dropped C tuning on a 4 string bass?

I'd think hex-core strings in 50-110, or the Billy Sheehan gauged Rotosound SwingBass strings: 43-110. Something along those lines, with a .110 E string.

I'd use the 4 larger strings from a super light 5 string set... D'addario superlight XL's, you'd have .60 .75 .95 .120 (with a way skinny tosser) for example.

I did the same with sets of D'addario ProSteel XLs, as I'm more of a stainless steel player. My general rule is a .005 increase in gauge per step dropped, and it seems to work well with maintaining tension.
