40-135 string?

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got a set of rotosound 40-125 5 string set but the guy change the B string to 135 gauge because i don't like the low tension on the 125 gauge.

So was wondering will this gauge setup will be alright? tight B and good sounding on the other 4 string.

My bass is a G&L Tribute 2500 by the way.

Bet it will be fine - you might want to consider upping the gauge on your E slightly as well.

Yup - maybe even .110 - go with what you can get and use what works and feels best.

Yeah, thats cool. Just bought a .110 E today and planning to get a guitar tech to full setup my bass and put on these strings.

i got 6 strings now from 40, 60, 75, 95, 110 and 135.

My bass is 5 string, shell i use 40, 60, 75, 110 and 135?

or 40 , 75, 95 , 110 and 135?

or 60, 75, 95, 110 and 135?

I say go 40, 60, 75, 110, 135. That last set you posted would put a lot of tension on the neck.
