| 44-01 users,which strings do you use?

My stock strings are dead and I'm going to buy another set.
I'm wondering which strings bring out the growl of the 44-01 more out?Or just tell what you use with a little discription.
BTW I play heavy metal with my band,I need my tone to cut through 2 distorted guitars and a crazy drummer.
I love playing anything from slap to tap at home though.I'm thinking of tryin a set of Hi-beams,I never used them though.
