5 string in drop C. What strings?

I currently have ernie ball regulars. They are definitely too thick and the tension is really high. What gauge should I be in to get this under control? Mind you I tuned the entire bass up. Thanks guys.

CGCFA

EDIT: I should also add the fact I would like to order from Naked strings. I was thinking 40 50 65 98 122 might make a good set.

You mean CGCFBb?

120 90 70 50 35 would be a good set.

Definitely need to get singles to put this together but can do it with most brands.

Typo, I meant A, not D. CGCFA just like the guitars. Thanks for the input!

P.S. Playing around with what I have at home and the choices on naked strings I am thinking 30 45 65 98 122?

I don't understand. On a five-string bass the low note is typically a B so why is a non-standard tuning needed for "drop C" ?

Typically for the riffing. Sometimes you just need that open C.

Other times, standard tuning isn't metal enough.

I usually just bring the B up a half step.. Though if I needed drop C on a 5 I'd go GCGCF

The G will be quite high compared to the rest.... I tension wise that is...

120 90 70 50 40

Your selection is very low tension with a high tension G.

I play metal, mostly death metal. I saw you were involved with TPS, I know Mike Dunn through Facebook.
