Smile 6 string set - are Warwick Red label + D'Addario any good?

Sign in to disble this ad
Well I guess the title pretty much sums it up.

On a budget as I'm full time college student and can't work yet Not willing to spend about £30 as it usually is for a six string set yet these other two I've found for about £18 - £22.

Any good?
Recommendations for alternatives?

Cheers,

Martin

The set of D'Addarios that I used on my 6 lasted a week and a half before going dead on me. Granted, that was during a summerstock theatre run, so you're looking at 18 performances in a two week time period.

The Warwick Reds I've used were okay; never used the 6 so I can't comment on the C string. I prefer the Blacks, but the Reds were alright.

I've used Elites for the last 15 years, recently swapped to the Nickel Rounds. Every set has been consistent and balanced, I've been through a lot of them. Slightly softer tension, last really well. From here:
