7 stringer players - what type of strings do you use?

Hey guys I'm just wondering what you guys do as far as strings for your 7s. Also feel free to just mention any model/brand that actually makes 7 string sets (high F or low F#), as I really have no idea what is out there.

I know that a lot of ERB guys use SIT strings but I can't find any sets over 6 strings on their website. Same with many other brands. What gives?

The only ones that I have actually found are the Conklin strings which come in all types of sets, and the Ritter strings, which are too expensive for me.

Also - where do you guys buy your strings for 7? I've always used JustStrings, but it appears that they don't sell 7 string sets so I'm kinda lost.

Oh and if you want to give recommendations I'm looking for something that's not super bright, and I've always used pretty high tension strings, so (I know beggars can't be choosers, but) I'd especially like to stay sway from anything super light like a .20 or .22 high F.

Please post links to anything you mention.

Thanks

~Alex

If scale length matters, it's a 34".

I was actually looking for 7 string sets a few days ago out of curiosity. To my knowledge, no string set above 6 exists. Sorry but I think you're stuck buying singles.

This doesn't mean you can't get a full set of the same brand. I'd order off juststrings and get something like a 6 string set and a single F, or if needed a 5 string set and single C+F, whatever you need. You'll still receive them all at once and they'll be the same brand so thats pretty much the same as buying a set except you can customize the gauges. In a way, it's even better.

they also have gauges in between .022 and .030 (C string gauge). I'm pretty sure I've seen .025

Oh that's kind of what I meant. I mean which companies actually sell the singles 7 strings need?

EDIT: just found the single string part of JustStrings. That helps a lot.

Suggestions are still welcome, though.
