760N for Rob Allen MB-2: long, or extra-long?

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone know what length strings ship on a Rob Allen MB-2 fretless 5-string? And/or successfully changed the strings on theirs to something similar?

I vaguely recall seeing some info in the materials that came with my MB-2 that suggested the bass required the extra-long scale LaBella 760N's...but now I can't find that citation. And someone just gave me a set of regular long scale 760N's which I'd be more than happy to use. But not if they won't fit.

Thanks.

Rob prefers the La Bellas, but my Deep 4 uses the Rotosound RS88 set which is similar and works just fine (granted, Rob designed my bass with those in mind so the nut has the right sized slots for the strings). I use standard length RS88s and it's fine.
